Instructions
1.With CC, CO 64(72,80) sts onto one DPN needle then divide into 3 needles.
2. Place marker and Join for working in the round being careful not to twist st.
3.Garter stitch band
Round1 – P all sts.
Round2 – K all sts.
Repeat these 2rounds total 3(3,4)times, then round1 once. Total 7(7,9)rounds.
4.Change Color
With MC, K all sts 4rounds. Change color.
With CC, K all sts one round, P all sts one round.
Repeat last 6rounds 1(1,2) more times.
Change color
With MC, K all sts until the hat measures 3.5(4, 4.5)” from CO edge.
5.Decreasing round
Round1 – {K2tog, K11(13,15), SSK, K1} repeat 4times.
Round2 – K all sts.
Round3 - {K2tog, K9(11,13), SSK, K1} repeat 4times.
Round4 – K all sts.
Round5 – {K2tog, K7(9,11), SSK, K1} repeat 4times.

Work I-cord for 4”. (The picture shown is worked last 2 rows with CC.) Draw through all the sts and tie a knot.
